Me, Elsewhere

Show your Big Dream how ALIVE & COMMITTED you are — by unplugging from everything that’s frying your circuits.

What are you missing out on in your own life right now by spending all of your time paying attention to other people’s lives?

* Are you someone who spends your days dreaming about that Big Thing in your life?

* Do you get lost on the internet for hours? Gathering up inspirations and if onlys?

* Do you find that you get discouraged online, lost in the comparisons of what other people are doing and how they're living their lives?

I was. I was that person who talked about living that crazy, creative life, but when it came time to act, I spent more time participating in other people's creative lives than crafting my own. Until one day, I stopped and imposed my own 30-day social media hiatus, an experiment to see what happened when I walked away from the distraction and was left to face what I said I really wanted.

During those 30 days, I realized what I'd been missing out own (my own experiences), how I'd been letting fear and old untrue stories hold me back (Facebook as a procrastination tool), and what my real-life life looked like (bigger and bolder than anything you could fit into a status update). I was able to focus on the work that I wanted to get done. I gained clarity around my goals. I learned what I was actually capable of, not just what I hoped to do.

I also saw how social media affects my clients, the ones who have the pull towards a bigger life for themselves but can't quite get off the ground to make motion towards anything. And I recognized a pattern and a possible solution.

Working with Tiffany during "Social Media Rehab" was absolutely motivating and energizing! In the end it's about so much more than social media, it's about reconnecting with yourself and your life. -Susanne Kasielke

I was constantly getting stuck in the FaceBook vortex and then where did my afternoon go. Tiffany led the rehab program with support, tough love and creativity, allowing me to get clear on why I used social media, to focus on what I really needed (a walk? To tackle that big project?) and then to go for it! Rehab is just the beginning - what Tiffany teaches is a way of moving forward after the month is over. - Erin Robinson

Throughout the month (and even after reentry), Tiffany gave me the encouragement, tools and the occasional kick-in-the-ass to face my social media demons. By sending them to the corner for a month, I could focus on what pieces are important to me and why. I get to choose what works for ME. -Danielle Donaldson

FAQ:

But I use facebook and twitter for my business. Won’t that suffer while I’m away?
I definitely understand that you use facebook and social media as a business tool. And if you can tell me that you’re only on social media for 15 minutes each day, supremely focused on just your business’s needs, this is not the program for you.

BUT if you are on social media constantly throughout the day, imagine what you could do for your business by shifting those hours to actually focusing on making your business grow. What might be possible then?

Will I still be allowed to blog?
Absolutely! Blog away - I’ll even give you tools to help connect your blog to social media automatically so that you don’t have to give up the promotion tool aspect.

I’m really afraid that I’ll miss something. What if something big happens while I’m rehab-ing?
You’ll be fine. Part of our pre-rehab toolkit will help you explain what you’re doing to folks that would miss you. The real question is: What are you missing out on in your own life right now by spending all of this time paying attention to other people’s lives?

But I’m addicted to instagram. Can I still do this and just be on Instagram?
No. One month. 30 days. That’s all that I’m asking for. Your dreams miss you - give them a chance to come true.

So far you've mentioned twitter, facebook, and instagram. Does this mean I still get to read blogs and spend loads of time on Pinterest?
Unfortunately, no. The entire point of this program is to walk away from what everyone else is doing and actually spend some time making your own things happen. It will be worth it, I promise.

What if I slip up during the month?

It’s up to you. Slip-ups happen. It’s fine. The key is what you do immediately following: are you able to recommit or do you give up? Does this pattern play out in other parts of your life?

What makes you qualified to lead this program?
As a certified life coach and frequent internet abuser, I know first-hand the benefits of walking away from the comparison and distraction monsters that social media creates. I’ve also seen countless clients fall into the trap of “well, that’s not how _________ does it” and I’m tired of seeing creative people let what other people do dictate their roads to success. It’s time that we all forged our own paths and started making our dreams happen. Our own way. For our own lives.

When are the calls?
The hour-long weekly calls will occur each Monday from 5:00-6:00pm PST, starting Monday, March 11 with a Day 1 pep-talk. Here's a time zone converter for those of you who need it.

But I can't make the calls. Can I still do the program?
Absolutely! Each call will be recorded and shared with the group.

You in? Let's make some magic, darling...
