30 for 30!

I've been thinking a lot about minimilism these days -- about needing less, about getting rid of the stuff that is taking up so much room in my life, the clutter that is weighing me down. I want an empty drawer. I want to have space.

I have an especially hard time parting with clothing and was really excited to read about Kendi's 30 for 30 challenge. The challenge: can you mix up 30 pieces of clothing over the course of 30 days?

I LOVE the idea of paring down my wardrobe, of knowing I can get by with less. I can't even tell y'all how often I wear something just because it's clean. I do this all the time. All the time.

So here we go!

Note that accessories don't count, so I've just photographed my clothes and shoes. Also, I discovered the joys of overexposure when shooting in bright light. Maybe I'll learn a thing or two about photography during these 30 days too!

There are a couple of things not pictured: a pair of black pants I wear to work and a red jacket. They were both in my car and I'm lazy, so they didn't make it into the photo shoot.

I've also only chosen 29 items, so I have a freebie in case I come across something I've forgotten about!

My plan is to rock this challenge and then be able to really super purge my closet at the end of the 30 days. Wanna play along?

Oh, and in case you're wondering, I'm probably only going to post outfit pics once a week, but I will also do a comprehensive post at the end of the month will all of my remixes!

Thanks so much to Kendi for the great idea and for hosting the challenge!
