Y'all! I drove in France!

See? Those are my hands operating the steering wheel of our car. It's been years since I've driven a manual -- wow! I had forgotten how much fun it is.

More importantly, though, notice the fields outside of the car. We drove from Lyon up to the Loire Valley today and were surrounded by these fields for most of the drive. The yellow was amazing! Anyone know what that is? My guess was mustard seed...

Driving in France is fun, but so different from driving in America. Everything is done efficiently and the cars MOVE. The left lane is only for passing and this is taken very seriously. Really, when someone comes up behind you, you better move rightfingnow. The French know how to tailgate!
