friday's confession: I have a secret.

Well, friends, I have held the news as long as I can, but it's time to shout it from the rooftops!!

Okay. Pause. That's kind of a lie. In reality...

{Yes. This is for real. Yes. I know it's HUGE. Yes, Tim and I are super excitednervousoverjoyedslightlyterrified and all of the other things one might feel when you find out at your "pregnancy confirmation" doctor's appointment that there are 2 babies inside you.}

{Deep breath}

{Also: squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee}

I have been so excited to share this news (SO EXCITED!) and it's such a joy to finally be putting it out into the world!

Life is an adventure, isn't it? I'm a pretty hard-core planner, know-what's-coming-next type of person, so the news of twins threw me for a loop. Not a bad loop, just the kind of loop that pulls the rug out of you with a loving reminder that no matter what you think, you have very little control, planning or not.

There's a surrender here. And a trust. And a sweetness that I'm working on settling in to. I have no idea what our lives will look like this time next year, but I can't wait to find out.

ALSO - I am working on a few things this fall before I go on maternity leave, but know this: my business is not going anywhere. Will things shift? Sure. They always do. And I will be taking some time off. But that doesn't mean I'll disappear altogether. There are a few things up my sleeve. Trust.

Will I blog about my pregnancy and kids? I have no idea. I've never done this before, so I'm not sure which direction things will take. I'm sure it will get mentioned because my life serves as material for my writing. Will I become a mommy-blogger? Probably not.

Oh, and here are some FAQs, in case you're wondering about all the other stuff:

How far along are you?

As of today, I am 13 weeks, 4 days.

When are you due?

My official due date is February 24, although it is unlikely I'll go full-term with these guys, so I'm just hoping that they cook until February. We'll learn more as the pregnancy progresses and we see how healthy we all are!

How are you feeling?

Okay. Good. Better. To be honest, July was a rough month. I was travelling and feeling pretty crappy at the same time. I learned about the twin-piece the day after I got home from Portland. Hello, world turned upside down!

Luckily, my boss is an absolute angel (HA!) so I was able to focus only on non-essential work while I took care of myself and slept. And slept. And slept.

I've also been able to get a hold on my morning (ahem...all-day) sickness, so that's made a huge difference. My appetite has come back with a vengeance. Wanna be my best friend? Bring me a chocolate milkshake.

Do you have any food aversions or cravings?

The two things I haven't been able to stomach are coffee and raw tomatoes, both of which I miss like the deserts miss the rain. I'm hoping to return to my daily cup-o-joe in the next week or two. *fingers crossed* (And yes, it's completely okay!)

As far as cravings, I haven't had any pickles and peanut butter combinations yet, but I can tell you that my favorite foods are currently cheeseburgers (bonus points for adding a fried egg and avocado), milkshakes, and apples. And I am hungry like a T-Rex after a deep sleep.

So, do you mean, you knew that one time when we {were at WDS, had dinner, talked on the phone}?

Haha, probably. We decided to wait, as most people do these days, to make sure that things were cooking well in there, but you guys! It was so hard to keep my mouth shut! Also, I'm a complete give-away since me at a party without champagne never happens.

How is Tim doing?

You guys, Tim is simply fantastic! Not only is he so excited about these babies, he has been an absolute champ at taking care of me when I haven't been feeling well. And the house. And Maggie. I seriously could not ask for a better baby-daddy.

Do you know the sexes?

We are planning to wait until the babies are born to find out the sexes, although my hunch says that we're having a boy and a girl.

Do you have names picked out?

We are circling on names and think that we have some good combinations picked out, although I likely won't share them publicly until after they're born. For now, we're calling them Luke and Leia.

Do twins run in your family?

They do now! And yes, they do, although distantly. My great-grandmother's sister had twins as did my mom's cousin. But, as surprised as we were when we find out, I've always had a hunch that twins might be a possibility. And now, here we are!

Do you have a bump yet?

I do have a little bit of a bump! During a photoshoot last week for my new headshots (refreshed website! coming this fall!), my photographer captured a few of me and the beans.

What's happening with your biz? Can we have some sneak peeks?

I'm going to be announcing some stuff in a couple of weeks, but I can tell you that I will definitely be running my Glitterbomb groups again this fall. I am having the best time ever with these groups, and cannot wait to jump in again!

I'm also working on a special offer for those of you who are interested in working with me one-on-one. Deets on that coming soon too! And a few other fun surprises, so don't worry: this is not going to be a boring fall. I promise.

And, Good Morning Glitterbomb is definitely going to continue! I've gotten such amazing feedback about the daily emails, and honestly, I am having so much fun writing them! (Wanna get in on the action? Sign up here!)
