friday's confession: I need to re-evaluate

As y'all know, I'm studying to be a coach. I'm in the middle of my certification program. I'm getting my training hours. I'm coaching.

This is the goal I've been working towards: being a full-time coach, with some kind of crafting thing on the side.

Unfortunately, though, I haven't been doing it. I've been saying that's what I want, but my actions haven't matched up. My actions have said that my goal is to be reactive. To take on a big chunk of the Teahouse work, to let that consume my time. To put everything else first, before my coaching business.

Because it's familiar.

I know how to do web stuff, I know how to plan events, I know how to do customer service.

I don't know how to start and run a successful coaching business. I don't know how to market myself as a coach or define my niche or how to even know if I even need a niche.

I've been letting the familiar guide me, and it hasn't gotten me so far, at least in terms of my goals.

I've been living in the land of comfort, of knowing.

So I think it's time to shake things up. It's time to step out of that comfortable place, into the unknown, for the sake of change.

The Universe is always listening, but we all know that actions speak louder than words.

Let's find out if that's really true, shall we?
