Loire Valley fun!

Tim and I are in the Loire Valley right now and are here for another couple of days.

The Loire Valley is most well-known for its chateau: amazing, beautiful places built by royalty. Yesterday, we were able to spend time at two, Chinon (in the town where we're staying) and Villandry. They were gorgeous!

Here are some of our shots from our day (starting at Chinon's Chateau):

We climbed A LOT of stairs to get up to the tops of numerous towers. The Chateau at Chinon is pretty much ruins now, but still really cool to check out. And the towers offered some amazing views!

After Chinon, we stopped at Ussé (the chateau that inspired Sleeping Beauty) for a quick picnic before heading out to the gardens of Villandry.

Here's the chateau -- can you find Sleeping Beauty's tower?

And here's our picnic. The dark stuff by the melon? Yep, that's nutella -- yu-um!

The gardens at Villandry were amazing!

Of course, we also found some time to goof off at the gardens!

After Villandry, we headed back to our awesome hotel for a quick nap and then had an amazing dinner. It was so good that it deserves its own post!

À bientôt, mes amis!
