Happy December my friends! I have been busy working away at various things and have missed blogging so very much. One thing that I was looking forward to helping me getting back into the online swing of things was Gwen Bell's reverb 10 project (see last year's contributions here).
After receiving an email from Gwen saying that she wasn't continuing the reverb project this year but was instead encouraging others to start projects of their own, I hopped onto twitter and was stoked to see the following tweet from my sweet friend Carolyn Rubenstein:
So, I tweeted and we emailed and next thing I knew we had a reverb 11 phone call on the books! And now, fast forward a mystery illness and a few days later, here we are, with our very own reverb 11 project happening!
Wanna join in? Here's what you can do:
- follow along on twitter: make sure you're following me (@tiffanycmoore), Carolyn (@carolynr), and the #reverb11 hastag on twitter to get the updates as they happen!
- join our facebook group and keep up with our reverb 11 community there - we've got a few fun things up our sleeve, including group conference calls with virtual confetti...there might even be a reverb 11 dance party if you're lucky!
- participate on your blog or in your journal and respond to our daily prompts. Note: our intention behind this was to make it fun and easy, so if you can't respond to all of them, no worries. If you want to respond using photographs, collage or drawings instead of words, go for it! There is no right way to do this, and there is certainly no wrong way to do this. Click here to add your blog to our virtual blogroll.
And, now, without further ado, our prompts thus far:
- One Word
Encapsulate the year 2011 in one word. Explain why you’re choosing that word. Now, imagine it’s one year from today, what would you like the word to be that captures 2012 for you? (via Gwen Bell)
What piece of writing are you most proud of from 2011? How does this piece differ from your other pieces?
- Year in Review
As you reflect back on the happenings of 2011, what were your high points and what were your low points? What do you notice as you look back on the year as a whole?
I'll also be keeping all of the daily prompts listed here for reference as the month continues. We'd love for you to join us, and I'm really looking forward to hearing your thoughts throughout the month!
